Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Weston Heating & Cooling is licensed, insured, bonded, and EPA-certified. That protects your home and means the work is done to code by trained technicians.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. We provide free estimates on new system installs and replacements, with upfront pricing and no hidden fees. We'll size the system to your home and lay out options at a few price points so you can decide with the full picture.

Will you look at a quote from another contractor?

Yes. We're glad to give a free, no-pressure second opinion on any other contractor's repair or replacement quote — we'll walk it through with you and tell you honestly what your home actually needs. If your existing plan is the right one, we'll say that too.

Do you offer plumbing, or just HVAC?

We are a heating and cooling company — that's the trade we do every day. If you need a plumber for something outside HVAC scope (leaks, drains, fixtures, sewer), we'll be straight with you and point you in the right direction rather than take on work outside our lane. Tankless and traditional water heating do fall inside what we install and service.

Scheduling & service

How do I schedule service or get an estimate?

Call or text us at 660-947-3354, or send a request through our contact form. A real person from our local team will follow up — usually the same business day.

Contact us →

Do you offer emergency or same-day service?

Yes. We offer same-day and emergency service when your comfort can't wait. Our regular hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Sunday is reserved for emergency service. For a no-heat or no-cool situation, please call so we can prioritize you.

Do you service systems you didn't install?

Yes. We repair and maintain most major HVAC brands, not just the systems we install. Parts availability for some brands can affect how quickly a repair is completed, and we'll always tell you what to expect.

How does parts availability affect a repair?

For common components on major brands we usually stock what's needed on the truck or have quick access to it locally. Some proprietary or lower-volume parts may need to be ordered, which can add a day or two — we'll always tell you up front what to expect for your specific system so you can plan around it.

Do you work on small commercial or light-commercial buildings?

Yes. We install and service HVAC for shops, offices, and small rural businesses across our service area. If you're building out a new space or replacing an aging system, call and we'll walk the building with you.

We install, repair, and maintain air conditioning, heating and furnaces, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, boilers, geothermal systems, and tankless water heaters. We also handle indoor air quality and seasonal maintenance.

What brands do you install?

Daikin is the brand we install most, and we're a Daikin Authorized Dealer. We also install and service Ruud equipment. The right answer is always the system that fits your home, your fuel, and your budget — not just a logo.

Are you a Daikin dealer?

Yes. Weston Heating & Cooling is a Daikin Authorized Dealer, which means we're factory-trained on Daikin equipment and can register your system for the manufacturer's warranty after installation.

Is Daikin worth it? →

Do you install geothermal systems?

Yes. We install and service ground-source and pond-loop geothermal systems, which can be a strong fit on acreage. Whether it makes sense depends on your land, your home, and your goals — we'll walk through it honestly.

Do you register the manufacturer's warranty after install?

Yes. On systems we install, we register your equipment with the manufacturer after the job so your parts warranty is on file — and we'll explain exactly what your model's warranty covers before you sign off. As an authorized Daikin dealer, that step is standard for the equipment we install.

Do you install or service water heaters?

Yes. We handle both traditional and tankless water heaters as part of our services. If you're replacing an aging unit or considering a switch to tankless, we'll walk through the sizing, venting, and fuel considerations for your home.

Heating in the country

Out here there's usually no natural-gas line, so heating is a different question than it is in town. Here's how we think about it.

We don't have natural gas — what are our heating options?

Most rural homes in our area heat with propane, electricity, heating oil, wood, or a heat pump. There's no single right answer — it depends on your home, your current fuel, and running costs. We help you compare the options without a sales pitch.

Heating a rural home →

Do heat pumps really work in our cold winters?

Yes. Modern cold-climate and inverter heat pumps are designed to keep heating efficiently well below freezing, which matters in our Zone 5A climate. Choosing the right model and sizing it correctly are what make it perform.

Do heat pumps work at −20°F? →

Is propane or a heat pump cheaper to run?

It depends on current propane and electricity prices and on your home. An efficient heat pump often lowers running costs versus propane or electric-resistance heat, but the honest answer is specific to your situation — we'll compare it for you.

Propane vs. heat pump running cost →

What is a dual-fuel (hybrid) system?

A dual-fuel system pairs a heat pump with a propane or electric furnace as backup. The system uses the heat pump in milder weather and switches to the furnace when it's most cost-effective — a popular setup for our climate.

Cost, financing & rebates

Do you offer financing?

Not right now. We were set up with a financing partner but got dropped for inactivity — we're planning to get that back up eventually. In the meantime, give us a call and we'll walk you through the total cost and options upfront, so there aren't any surprises.

Talk it through with us →

Are there rebates or tax credits for a new system?

The federal 25C and 25D residential energy tax credits expired on December 31, 2025, so they are not available for 2026. Some local electric co-op or utility programs may offer rebates depending on your provider and equipment. We're glad to help you check what your utility currently offers — just ask.

Rural rebates & incentives →

How much does a new heating or cooling system cost?

It depends on the size of your home, the equipment you choose, and the work involved, so there's no one-size price. We give a free estimate with options at a few price points and explain the trade-offs, so you can pick what fits your budget.

Maintenance & upkeep

How often should I have my system serviced?

As a rule of thumb, have cooling serviced once in spring and heating once in fall. Regular maintenance matters even more in the country, where dust, pollen, and long run times are harder on equipment — it helps systems run efficiently and last longer.

Do you offer maintenance plans?

Not as a plan tier — but we do offer one-off seasonal tune-ups. Give us a call in the spring or fall and we'll put a check-up on the schedule for your system. If you'd like a reminder before each season, just let us know when you call and we'll keep you on our list.
